What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?
What this means is that you get a one sided story about a place and don't get to hear the full story.
Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?
Before i moved to West Virginia, the only stories of people doing "redneck" things and being stupid and starting trouble. But when you really get to know people around here not every one is doing stupid things and getting hurt.
i think you realy need to go to the places you hear stories about, or at least try to get more stories about the place then believe one sided stories.
Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?
Hmm hard question, i don't really know what i have herd about another community around here.
How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?
It would have to be a very dynamic game that presents many sides of a place or community instead of one view, or the "expected" view of the place.
